My story starts out much the way yours probably does. I only really got interested in Paleo and healthier living when my body made it clear that I seriously needed some help -and trying a bit of this and that wasn’t going to cut it.

I suffered with acne for 6 long years, without any results from conventional treatments and advice.

I finally drew the line when I was encouraged to start taking harsh medications in a last attempt to clear my skin. I simply wasn’t willing to put my body through such risks to clear my skin! None of those options had worked, and the side effects of such strong products were almost worse than the condition they were supposed to treat.

The next big health problem that I encountered was being diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I gained 25 pounds in 3 months, my hormones were out of whack, I was more anxious, and I felt like my body was totally out of my control.

Between the acne, and the symptoms from PCOS, I knew that I needed to make a change.

So, I started switching my diet over to Paleo and learning more about what it meant to eat as a lifestyle-instead of just cutting certain foods out for short term.

The results were amazing! I lost weight, my hormones became much more balanced, I felt calmer overall and I felt so much better about my body and my health! I no longer saw food as a frustration but rather as something I could enjoy daily.

My transformation with Paleo is what lead me to enroll in a nutrition college.

It was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Not only did I learn a tremendous amount about how my body works internally, what areas I was lacking in nutritionally, and why my body was struggling, I also learned the most important health lesson of all: we are all different individuals, and therefore, we have different nutritional needs.

That’s why creating this course was a no-brainer. I wanted to create something that covered all of the important info about how to do the Paleo diet successfully and what lifestyle changes are most beneficial but to have it all in one place-which is something that I wish someone had shared with me all those years ago.
